Lesleigh-I’m a life long Kansan, aside from that one wild year I sold everything I owned that didn’t fit into my car and moved to New Jersey to teach dance. I’ve always loved deals and as most true Midwesterners I respond to all compliments with where I found it, how much it was on sale for and in all likelihood that it “has pockets”. I love working with children which led me from teaching in a dance studio to teaching in the classroom. I taught middle school, specifically special education, for nearly 10 years. After my second baby was born, I decided that I was most needed at home. I miss the classroom but I relish the time with my 3 kiddos and husband. In my spare time I love to sing off key, dance in my kitchen, and of course shop. The thrill of finding an amazing deal can only be topped when I can share it with others. That led me to create “She Finds and Designs KC”. With my love for all things steals and deals, and Cherish’s amazing eye for design, we’re ready to help KC take their find and design game to the next level.
Cherish-Well I started my life in the Midwest and have come full circle! In between I’ve lived in 8 states, most recently moving from the New York City metro. My background is graphic design and marketing – I worked in downtown New York City at one the largest financial institutions. It was such an exciting time and I loved every minute. After I had my daughter I decided to stay home and my husband and I packed up and moved to live closer to my family. Since I haven’t had an office job, I started doing home makeovers with my own homes. I found that it was something that felt natural and people said I was good at it – so here I am! I now have two children and we love our lives here in Kansas City. I can’t wait to help people think of how the “finds” will work into their homes.
