Saving the Earth One Glass at a Time
Welcome to Missouri’s First Green Vineyard & Winery
Jowler Creek Vineyard & Winery is owned and operated by Jason and Kit Lacy, Kansas City born and raised siblings. With their families, they now manage more than 3,500 grapevines and produce several wines in various styles ranging from dry to sweet. Their passion and love for agriculture and wine run as deep as the roots in their 7-acre sustainable vineyard. Take a look at all the sustainable practices they’ve put in place below from the grape to the glass – to make delicious wines you can feel good about drinking.
WHY ARE WE MISSOURI’S FIRST GREEN WINERY
Being “green” can mean so many things… For Jowler Creek, being green means making choices throughout the year to positively impact our environment, being efficient with the resources we have available, and improving our wine quality to sustain our business. We try and do everything we can to care for our land, our people, and our animals to sustain the business for generations to come. We were the first winery in the state to be certified through the Missouri Agricultural Stewardship Assurance Program (ASAP) across five categories.
